Core Aeration To Loosen Compacted Soil And Help Your Lawn Breathe

Over time, foot traffic, weather and everyday use press your soil down and squeeze the space your grass roots need. When the soil is compacted, water, air and nutrients cannot move freely, and your lawn starts to thin out and lose color. Our core aeration service opens the ground back up so your turf can breathe and take in everything it needs.

We use a professional core aerator that pulls small plugs of soil from your lawn. These openings act like tiny channels that let water and nutrients reach the root zone instead of sitting on top. We serve homeowners across Orlando, Tampa, South Florida and nearby areas. To schedule aeration, call us at (561) 556-1607.

How Our Core Aeration Process Works

Our team performs core aeration because it is one of the most effective ways to relieve compaction and recharge your lawn. We run the aerator over the turf and pull out small plugs of soil, leaving behind a pattern of holes. Those holes are the pathways that let water, oxygen and fertilizer reach the roots instead of getting blocked at the surface.

We leave the soil cores on top of the lawn after the service. As they break down, they return nutrients back into the soil and help improve the structure even more. The result is a lawn that can grow deeper roots and handle stress, heat and foot traffic much better.

Spring And Fall Are The Best Times For Aeration

Timing matters if you want the most benefit from core aeration. We recommend scheduling aeration in the spring and fall when the grass is actively growing and the weather is not at its most extreme.

In the spring, March through May is usually ideal. Your lawn is coming out of the cooler months and can recover quickly while building strength before summer heat arrives. In the fall, September through November works best. Temperatures start to drop, your turf has less stress from the sun, and aeration helps it prepare for the cooler season ahead.

You can aerate once a year, but doing it twice, in both spring and fall, keeps compaction from building up and gives your lawn more consistent access to air, water and nutrients.

We Use A Double Pass For Better Results

To push results even further, we do a double pass when aerating. That means we go over your lawn two times with the aerator to pull more cores and create more openings.

A double pass pulls up more soil cores and creates more channels so your lawn can take in extra water, air and nutrients.
